The Seattle Seahawks will celebrate in their home town clear across the country from where this Pacific Northwest-based NFL team handily won Super Bowl 2014. Seattle's local CBS station will provide live streaming as the festivities begin on Feb. 5 at 2 p.m., ET and 11 a.m., PT, as reported by the Seahawks official site on Feb. 2.
The parade route for the team that trounced the Denver Broncos on Sunday will show off the Lombardi trophy by starting just south of Seattle Center at Fourth Street. Then the procession will head south on Denny Way, continuing along Fourth and hitting CenturyLink Field at approximately 4:30 p.m., ET and 1:30 p.m. PT.
The Seattle Times remarks that fans of the Seattle Seahawks are asked to trace the route of the parade via public transit or carpooling since parking will be scarce and traffic will be crawling. In all, a quarter of a million spectators are expected to show up for the victorious event, leaving downtown Seattle crammed with onlookers.
Temperatures in Seattle for the Seahawks victory parade 2014 are expected to be on the nippy side so participants should dress for the cold.
However, Yahoo! Weather predicts a sunny day so even if the predicted 30 degree high means Seattle will register below freezing, fans will likely take that with pleasure as the whole town turns out to celebrate the victory so gracefully earned by the Seattle Seahawks at Super Bowl 2014.
