Sean Hannity, the conservative television and radio talk show host on Fox, spoke on the telephone with Erling Davis – an operator with the Affordable Care Act – on Monday. On Thursday, she lost her job for having spoken to Hannity, according to a Yahoo! News report on Thursday.
Hannity called the Obamacare phone line that has been given out by the United States federal government. In time, he was connected to Davis who is involved with Obamacare by working for a private contractor.
In the ten minutes that Hannity and Davis spoke, Hannity asked her questions about the ongoing technical difficulties with the program's web site and also initiated some other topics with her. Due to that conversation which Hannity publicly had with Davis, she lost her job.
In response to the firing of Davis, Hannity said – on his radio program – that he will personally compensate Davis for a year’s salary tax free and do his best to find her a new job – a better job.
After being fired, Davis told Hannity on-air that the very next day two people escorted her to Human Resources. She figured they wanted to talk to her about the Hannity phone call, and she was right. A lady in Human Resources told her that the company couldn’t have this type of thing going on, and therefore, they were releasing her. She was told that there was to be no contact with the media – none whatsoever.
At hearing this, Hannity told her that it wasn’t her fault that he called her. Again, he insisted he would take care of her financially for being the source of her being fired from her job.
