In a YouTube video , "The Defector" posted today, March 23, 2014, of the “60 Minutes” interview with Marty and Monique Rathbun, Marty smiles and comments that L. Ron Hubbard is, “tardy – AWOL.” Rathbun was commenting on a question asked about the house built for Hubbard’s return that he’s supposed to come back to.
Scientology ENEMY number one, Marty Rathbun, on “60 Minutes” facing off with David Miscavige “could lift the lid off the church of Scientology’s most explosive secrets.” David Miscavige could be facing some serious questions under oath in the very near future.
Marty Rathbun, and more importantly in this case, his wife Monique Rathbun, were under surveillance and not knowing it or knowing from where. “It makes you a prisoner is what it does – it makes you a total prisoner,” says Monique to 60 Minutes.
And “to this day” Monique Rathbun says she “became the lamb, under siege, not because of anything she’s done, but because of what Marty Rathbun “knows.” Marty was Scientology’s ‘Inspector General’, the highest post second to David Miscavige. Apparently, Miscavige and Rathbun are the only two Scientologists to ever receive the Medal of Honor.
Marty, and wife, Monique Rathbun were harassed and intimidated by Scientology thugs for 199 days by the “Squirrel Busters” in a David Miscavige, micro managed attempt to silence him. Monique Rathbun is now suing Scientology which could see Miscavige having to answer to some tough questions.
According to Marty, there is no doubt whatsoever that Miscavige was “pulling the strings” – “there is nothing that has occurred over the past 5 years that would not require his [Miscavige’s] direct order, in order to do.”
Ironically, while being Miscavige’s ‘Deputy’, he was in charge of dealing with defectors, as well as “dealing with the church’s biggest stars, including Tom Cruise.”
Rathbun claims he got Cruise to become a very ‘hard-core’ Scientologist.
60 Minutes asked Rathbun:
“Is it true that David Miscavige asked for secret video tapes of Tom Cruise’s auditing sessions with you?”
“Yes. He [Miscavige] ordered that the sessions be recorded. He also ordered that I write detailed summaries – particularly of confessionals, and security checks. It wasn’t until 2 years ago, that I heard from Tom De Vocht. Tom was with Miscavige, having his nightly Scotch before he would go to bed when Miscavige received those reports. And Miscavige would sit there, joking over Tom’s love life, and personal details of his family.”
Monique says she and her husband, Marty, couldn’t even return from a day of fishing without the “Squirrel Busters” jumping out of a van to harass and intimidate them. “You can only take so much,” said Monique.
Monique comments that, “you can worship whoever you want – I don’t care, but you cannot behave like that – you can’t do that.”
In the “60 Minutes” interview, Marty Rathbun refers to Scientology as a Cult.
The reporter asked Marty: “You just called it a Cult?”
Marty replied: “YES.”
“Do you believe that,” asked “60 Minutes?”
Marty responded with: “I don’t know if it’s a belief, it’s more of a certainty – it’s more of an obvious certainty.”
When asked if it was not a religion, Marty Rathbun replied: “Well ya’, it’s a religion – it’s a religious Cult.”
