A few months ago I received a text message that was forwarded to me via Brad Melnychuk who was at Narconon International in California. My source laughed off Melnychuk’s text message, requesting a $10,000 donation to help open a new Narconon in Ontario, Canada.
Brad Melnychuk, a Scientologist, is a driving force in the lucrative drug rehab business in Canada. He is the Executive Director of Association for Better Living and Education (ABLE) Canada, and also owns and directs NARCONON TORONTO (Narconon Incorporated), a registered charity with Revenue Canada. Melnychuk was also involved with the “DISSOLVED” Narconon Canada and Narconon Trois-Rivieres before it was closed last year by the Quebec Ministry of Health. http://tinyurl.com/btcsovw
I met Melnychuk on numerous occasions while he was at Trois-Riviers and he expressed concern that Narconon’s advertised success rate was far below the 76% they claimed. Even after I explained the laws being broken and that the public was being misled, no changes were made.
Melnychuk was present at Ottawa’s “37th Parliament Session", and explained Narconon’s success rate was as high as the 75%., with “more experienced, larger, and well-staffed organizations get 90%.” He was up against very educated politicians in this Session and was obviously ‘out of his league” in talks about drug treatment in Canada. http://tinyurl.com/czyryft
In frustration, Melnychuk attempts to push his Narconons at this Parliament’s Session, stating “our Narconons are improving, and some of them are very close to a 100% success rate.” Of course Melnychuk could not provide any studies or documented proof of his inflated and absurd success rate claims.
Following the devastating blow of Narconon Trois-Rivieres being closed down by Health Authorities in Quebec, Scientology has been scrambling to find a loop hole to try again in another Canadian province.
After failing in Quebec, Melnychuk began his Narconon PR campaign in December 2012 with a website promoting Narconon in the Ontario region. Another source from western Canada confirmed a new Narconon is growing roots in Ontario soon. http://tinyurl.com/cvywgqd
A few websites have popped up, but one in particular “Canada Medical Detox” is promoting a drug rehab detoxification center by the company’s President, P. Dubreuil. Dubreuil is an ex-Narconon Trois-Rivieres employee - - head of the Course Room Supervisors and a well-known “Scientology Auditor.” I had several talks with Dubreuil at Narconon and know him to be an intelligent lad, but enthralled in the L. Ron Hubbard religious doctrines pertaining to drug addiction and how Narconon is the ONLY answer.
He also suggested that to remain drug free, a Narconon graduate should get involved with Scientology and receive the “Drug Rundown” to ensure continuing sobriety.

There is no doubt, Narconon will rear its’ ugly head in Ontario and proceed to dupe desperate addicts and family members into their empty promises of high success rates and being CURED from addiction.
However, with the bad media PR concerning Narconon and another prominent National investigative reporter on the scene, Scientology’s drug rehabs in Canada are facing ongoing investigations and reports to government and licensing authorities.
