From posts on his Twitter account starting March 3, Ringo All-Starr Band member Steve Lukather has announced he's been in the studio with Ringo Starr working on sessions for the follow-up album to “Ringo 2012” and co-wrote a new song for it with him.

“Finished a great tune with @ringostarrmusic we wrote together. SO much fun!! Thx Boss!,” he wrote March 4.

“In the studio with Ringo today and then Keith Carlock is in tonight to work on the new Toto record this week. Busy. Arm still f*cked.. ouch!,” he wrote March 5.

Ringo has mentioned several times in the past he's been working on a new album, but this is the first time any details from the sessions have been mentioned. “Ringo 2012” was released in an exclusive version on Amazon.com with a bonus DVD.

He has already announced the All-Starr Band will tour the U.S. this summer. The tour will begin June 6 in Ontario, Canada, end July 19 in Los Angeles, and feature shows in New York Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Mississippi, New Mexico, Texas, California, Washington and Canada.
