Presented her fashion icon award by none other than Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, the 26-year-old pop diva stunned CFDA attendees in her custom-made Adam Selman metallic silver fishnet dress, wearing not much else but a skin-colored thong that showed her buttocks off quite unapologetically. She accessorized the barely-there gown with a fur boa, metallic net gloves and a headscarf that were embellished with over 216,000 Swarovski crystals. Smoky eyes and neutral pale mauve lips in addition to a Jacob & Co. ring as well as a Paul Morelli ring and earrings completed the stunning ensemble.

Demurely covering herself up with a little fur boa as she approached the stage to collect the coveted award, Rihanna admitted that even though she comes from a small island, fashion has always been her “defense mechanism.” For CFDA, Rihanna undoubtedly came out stylishly brandishing two double-barrel shotguns!

This year’s CFDA winners were:

Menswear Designer of the Year: Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow for Public School, beating Thom Browne and Marcus Wainwright & Neville for Rag & Bone

Accessory Designer of the Year: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for The Row, while Alexander Wang and Jack McCollough & Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler were also nominated
