The National Political Rebuttal column recently reported on (and had some fun at the expense of) Larry Klayman's continuous calls for a military coup against the Obama administration.
On yesterday's episode of "Prophetic Perspective on Current Events," the self-proclaimed prophet Rick Joyner declared that democracy in America has already failed and that the nation might not last even to the end of President Obama's term.
According to Joyner, America is heading for a tyranny from which it can only be saved by the most undemocratic thing in existence: a military takeover.
"There's no way our republic can last much longer," said Joyner, adding that "we're headed for serious tyranny" because the electoral system (also known as a majority) will not allow for the leaders of his choosing to become elected.
That is why "our only hope is a military takeover; martial law."
Much like Klayman, Joyner has effectively just admitted what many have suspected from the start: He hates democracy. By Joyner's own admission, the candidates who run on the religious authoritarian platform he and his followers prefer are unelectable, therefore things would be so much easier if there just weren't any elections.
