Each year, the Universal Orlando resort draws millions of visitors to central Florida, each of them anxious to "see the stars and ride the movies." Occasionally, they even have an actual movie star show up to experience what it's like on the other side of the set.
Academy Award-winning actor Richard Gere met a few mischievous, yellow fans while hosted by Universal Orlando Resort on Mar. 3, 2013. Gere came face-to-face with the fun-loving minions when experiencing the theme park destination’s newest ride, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem.
Best known for films like “Pretty Woman,” “Chicago” and “Arbitrage,” Gere was a presenter at the Academy Awards, then headed to Universal Orlando to vacation with friends and family.
Perhaps you were lucky enough to see him wandering around the parks, enjoying all the sights, sounds, and adventures that every other park visitor is also able to partake in. Sometimes movie stars can be people too. (Maybe!)
