“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Penny Drossos may have been stirring the pot for quite some time on the show this season, as she seems to be the middle figure in all the drama. She has been trying to be someone’s mouth piece, sharing rumors that Melissa Gorga had been cheating on her husband, Joe Gorga. According to a new Bravo blog published on Sept. 23, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Penny Drossos is now being slammed for some of the comments she made on Sunday’s episode of the show.
Oddly enough, it wasn’t the drama she was spreading that made headlines. In fact, it was a comment about autism that had people scratching her head. Jacqueline Laurita sat down with Kelly Ripa on “Watch What Happens Live” and Andy Cohen replayed Laurita’s confrontation with Penny.
After Laurita asked her about spreading rumors about Nicholas not having autism, Penny spoke out. "That's a lie," Drossos began. "I'm going to be very honest with you, Jacqueline. I love autistic children. Love them to death. I taught autism." Of course, that caused some laughter in the club house. Cohen asked, "Is that a course?" And Ripa also had a hilarious comment. "I don't know that I would had had the composure to shut up and let that 'I used to teach autism' comment stand," Ripa added.
