“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jacqueline Laurita may not be on the show this season, as she is focusing on her son, Nicholas, and his struggle with autism. She claimed that she didn’t want to be on the show anymore, but she has been filming “Manzo’d with Children” instead. And yet, maybe she didn’t want to share her financial struggles in the spotlight. According to a new Radar Online report published on July 15, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jacqueline Laurita is now making headlines over financial issues again.
This isn’t the first time that Jacqueline and her husband have struggled with money. Her husband’s clothing company has filed for bankruptcy and last year, she was in the news because she apparently owed money to the IRS for back-taxes. This time around, her brother Joseph Laurita and his wife, Adeline, have also been mentioned in the lawsuit that is haunting the family.
The family is currently facing an $8 million lawsuit over their continuous financial struggles. It is believed that they all used the company’s finances to fund their lavish lifestyle, using upwards of $7,804,227 of the company’s movie. Last month, Jacqueline and her husband decided to file papers in court, asking the Trustees to settle with them out of court. But the Trustee does not want to settle.
“In essence, the Responsible Person seeks approval for a settlement with the ROC Defendants on the basis that litigation is inherently uncertain and sometimes wasteful,” the paperwork reads. It is definitely possible that Jacqueline and her husband will have to come up with the funds to go to trial and defend themselves.
The paperwork reads, “Given the facts, and the current endorsement by the Responsible Person of a potential settlement with the ROC defendants, it is incomprehensible that the Responsible Person has refused to engage in any good faith settlement negotiations with the Laurita defendants.” At present time, Jacqueline has said nothing on her social media profiles about her struggles and her husband is equally as silent.
The two are not people who often talk about their financial troubles. She has denied owing money to the IRS. She claimed that those comments were indeed old and not relevant to her current financial situation.
