“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida is already a convicted felon, so when his name came up in an investigation, investigators were quick to check him out. He has been facing some fraud charges and he is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow. And yet, he is working to get a better sentence. According to a new Radar Online report published on July 7, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida is trying everything to push his sentencing and get a lower sentence than he expects.

Many people are expecting him to do time, because he pleaded guilty to various charges, including the conspiracy to commit fraud. Apollo once served five years in prison for racketeering, but he could face up to 30 years in prison. He will find out tomorrow whether he is heading to jail. He is feeling alright, even though he doesn’t know whether he will see his children grow up.

“I’m cool, just trying to keep everything in stride,” Nida has revealed about his upcoming sentencing. Of course, Nida claims that someone threw his name into an investigation regarding something that had nothing to do with him. But documents claim that he was running fake businesses. Earlier this week, Peter Thomas was asked about Apollo’s upcoming sentencing and his answer surprised Apollo.

Peter said that Apollo was doing “as well as someone who is getting ready to go to jail [could be]!” And Nida saw it, saying that he wasn’t too rattled by it. “At this time, I don’t have time to waste to get into what he was saying,” he admits, “I didn’t really think he would count me out like that. I haven’t even been sentenced yet.”

He does admit that he is waiting for hear from his attorney. His wife, Phaedra Parks, has not said much about his legal issues and she is not representing him in this case. But one can imagine that she does want him to work out his issues and try to reduce a possible sentence to probation, community service or house arrest, so he can be with his children.

Given his criminal past and his violent attack on Brandon DeShazer earlier this season, what do you think his sentence should be? Do you think he should try to get it reduced for the sake of his children?
