Krispy Kreme Burger

Picture this: The Food Network star takes Krispy Kreme Donuts stacked with juicy hamburgers, crispy bacon slices and fried eggs! "You're outta your freakin' mind!"

The Lady's Brunch Burger

Poo-poo it if you will, but I'll bet you're secretly licking your lips wishing you had one of these sweet & salty, Lady's Brunch Burgers with a side of Cheesy Fries right now! Not trying to minimize the health risks of regularly eating this way, but one or two of these bad puppies are my hubby's heart-attack-on-a-plate kinda meal! Paula Deen does it up in style too. Watch the video for detailed – and amusing – directions on how to construct your own magnificent over-the-top Krispy Kreme burgers, or follow my recipe below. Either way, you'll love it, or hate it!

At one point in the video, Paula Deen says, "The girls are gonna see this and say, 'You're outta your freakin' mind!'" After watching the video, you have to admit, she's one amazing lady!

Paula Deen's Krispy Kreme Bacon, Egg & Cheese Hamburger Recipe (my version)

  • 1 pound 85% hamburger
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely diced
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 Tablespoons parsley, finely chopped
  • 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
  • 4 Krispy Kreme Glazed Donuts, sliced in half
  • 4 fried eggs the way you like them
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, broken in half

How To Make a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Krispy Kreme Burger

  • In a medium size bowl, mix hamburg, onion, salt & pepper, garlic powder, and parsley together, and form into 4 equal sized patties. Grill or pan fry them according to your preference. Place a slice of cheese on top of the hot burger to melt slightly.
  • On 4 plates, place half the Krispy Kreme Donut on a plate, cut side up.
  • Add 1 hot cheese topped hamburger to the donut, and stack the hot fried egg on top, followed by the remaining donut half. Press together lightly,or stick a frill pick or skewer through the center.
  • Serve with fries, Red Bliss Potato Salad or Deli Style Macaroni Salad.
  • Makes 4 HUGE Krispy Kreme Bacon, Egg & Cheese Hamburgers.

It's no wonder American's are all huge

Yeah right, you know it all. Since I am 6 feet tall and weigh 140 pounds, I bet most 'healthy' euro people aren't as good of shape as I am in. You know what though, it doesn't matter to me... Go ahead talk smack, I have a life to live.

That does not mean this burger is so utterly unhealthy it could most likely kill a child. And the way they're advertising it is just pathetic and disgusting.

No wonder the author is such a fatty.

Hey grand dad! This white woman stole your burger!

  • Uncle Ruckus 2 years ago

The white man invented the burger. We all should be grateful for that!

Well, Paula looked like she was about to vomit after her first bite of that burger. I say actions speak louder than words.

Now I know why you're missing the old layout so much - LOVE the pic! I don't have enough guts to actually try the burger - but the pic is awesome! Thanks for the fun read!

Americans aren't all huge, lol. But this burger just does not sound particularly good to me. I love a Krispy Kreme on occasion, but not with a greasy burger slapped on top. I just think that sounds like too much sweet, too much grease, too much too much everything. But I know people swear by them! Maybe one day when I'm at death's door ... just to say I took a bite. Then again, maybe not. ;)

I like salty and sweet together, but I'm with Andrea -- I'm way too scared to try a full-size one of these. Maybe a bite-sized slider served on top of a donette...along with a salad! :D

Krispy Kreme Sliders? Perfect! LOL! Does Paula do anything that small?

    Thanks for reading :-)

I have a 29-year-old son who would probably love this. Burger--bacon--cheese--donut. We went to a fancy restaurant and that's what he ordered, a bacon cheeseburger. No donut, though.

P.S. Yes, the layout DOES make a difference. In this story, the picture is as important as the words.

My oh my! Donna, you have me positively salivating. The only one in my kitchen with an apron and a skillet is my hubby - but I'll sure show this to him! Thanks!

And oh yes... you need to SEE food (not to be confused with sea food) oh, Donna, you know whut I mean.
