Randy Quaid has been denied residency in Canada. On Jan. 27, The Hollywood Gossip reported that Canada has officially denied Quaid's request for permanent residency. This news comes after Quaid and his wife, Evi, sought refugee status in the county when they claimed to be targets of Hollywood "star whackers."
"The ruling places Randy Quaid in a bind, however, since he withdrew his refugee claim last summer and authorities are refusing to let him change his mind. According to documents filed in a separate Federal Court file, Quaid initially asked for a guarantee he could stay in Canada before abandoning his claim," THG reports.
Randy Quaid was denied his request, however, but he likely won't back down. Reasons as to why he and Evi were denied residency were not given. Randy had submitted paperwork claiming once again that he and Evi are in danger -- this being the reason that they wanted to stay in Canada. Evidently, Canada wasn't interested in being their safe haven.
"The Quaids claim is not Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Evi and Randy Quaids lives are in danger here! Evi and Randy Quaid have been subjected to an injustice (sic)," they reportedly wrote in a letter to the Federal Court. Do you think Randy and Evi will ever be granted permission to reside in Canada?
