Rajon Rondo trade rumors are popping up again. The Milwaukee Bucks have entered into the Rondo trade rumors after a recent deal to acquire Caron Butler from the Phoenix Suns. According to a report from Friday (August 30), this has placed the team in position to offer enough assets to get the Boston Celtics to consider a deal.
The Bucks could now include Butler, point guard Brandon Knight, and several draft picks as an enticing package for the Celtics. Knight could fill the role of up-and-coming point guard and it could give the Celtics even more picks to work with over the next few offseasons.
It's no secret that the Celtics have been looking to rebuild the roster, especially after trading away Jason Terry, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett to the Brooklyn Nets. The team might still have enough talent to compete for a spot in the playoffs this season, but the front office may be looking to bring in more long-term assets.
It should be expected that more Rajon Rondo trade rumors are going to come as the next NBA season approaches. It might make the most sense for the Milwaukee Bucks, though, because the team also has O.J. Mayo and Larry Sanders as the start of a good core. Adding an All-Star point guard to the mix might just make the team a lock for the postseason.
