Many parents enjoy reading with their kids. At bedtime or on a rainy day, snuggling up with a good book is a great way to spend time together and grow their minds. This year, on October 3rd, we are going to read together and help break a WORLD RECORD in support of literacy and early childhood education.
On October 3, 2013, people across the country will read the children’s book Otis by Loren Long in support of Jumpstart’s mission to work toward the day that every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed.
Last year, more than 2.3 million people across the world joined in to “Read for the Record.” This year, everyone can part of the group that breaks that record.
October 3rd is the one day where millions of people across the world sit down and pledge to read for their kids to support JumpStart’s mission to work towards the day that every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed.
The Program has raised more than $8 million dollars for early education programs.
