Earlier today, Jan. 8, USA Today called the New York Film Critics Circle’s choice for best actress a "major surprise.” The New York Film Critics Circle named Rachel Weisz best actress for her role in the drama, ‘The Deep Blue Sea.’
When it comes to the red carpet however, there are no surprises when it comes to the elegant actress’s style and fashion. Always poised and sophisticated, Weisz is usually a top contender our best dressed list.
Last night, the 42-year old kicked off her 2013 red carpet style at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in New York City, in a chic, black Prada Spring 2013 dress and a black clutch. She added some color with red heels and bold red lips, complementing the hint of red appliques on her dress.
Other attendees at the event included Jessica Chastain, Matthew McConaughey, Greig Frasier, Steven Soderbergh, Daniel Day-Lewis, Steven Spielberg, Sally Field and Katie Couric, among others.
