R. Lee Ermey is no fan of President Obama.
The actor and retired Marine Corps drill instructor made his feelings known at a live USO benefit program in early December.
He spoke about the work being done by the Marine Corps Reserves' Toys for Tots Foundation, and said the program was struggling because "the economy really sucks."
He then blamed the present administration and said, "they're not gonna quit doing it until they bring this country to its knees..."
Ermey also called on the audience to rise up and stop the administration which he said was trying to destroy America and went so far as to accuse the Obama administration of driving the country to bankruptcy in order to impose socialism.
"I'm sick and damned tired of it, and I know you are, too," he said, to thunderous applause.
"But I know that the Marine Corps is gonna be here forever," he said, adding, "this administration won't."
The U.S. Marine Corps celebrated its 235th birthday in November, and the Toys for Tots Foundation started in 1947 when Los Angeles area Marine Reservists distributed 5,000 toys to needy children in the southern California area.
Update Jan 4, 2011: R. Lee Ermey apologizes.
