Australian passengers were stunned to see a python on the plane wing during their flight from Cairns to Papua New Guinea. According to CBS News on Jan. 10, the python managed to stay on the Qantas plane's wing until the plane landed in Port Moresby, though it was said to have been dead upon the plane's arrival.
The 10-foot python on the plane wing was videotaped by passenger Robert Weber, and it is said to have been trying to move forward along the wing, but the wind kept pushing it back. The wing was a bit of a bloody mess by the time all was said and done, as the wind whipped the python against the side of the plane.
The video of the python on the plane wing shows it was struggling to find a way off the wing and inside to safety, to no avail. It seems the first female passenger who noticed the python was met with disbelief, but the video shows this was no joke. Interestingly, nobody seemed to worry that there might have been other pythons that had managed to get on-board the aircraft.
Weber says that the python on the plane wing seemed to still be struggling until the time they landed. Qantas says this is first for them.
