PS4, Xbox 720, Wii U and more platforms spotted for ‘Destiny’ (Photos)

The recently-announced “Destiny” may be coming to more consoles than just the PS3 and Xbox 360. According to a report by Eggplante on Feb. 17, the source code found on the official website for the video game listed the Nintendo Wii U, PC, Playstation Vita, PS4 and Xbox 720 as additional platforms. Destiny” is the latest franchise from Bungie, the development studio best known for creating the “Halo” series. The company will be partnering with Activision, the corporation behind the “Call of Duty” franchise, to help publish the games.

The first title from the “Destiny” franchise has only been officially confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 260 current-generation consoles so far. A leaked contract document from the past revealed that the online first-person shooter would be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox 720 as well.

The PS4 and Xbox 720 next-generation systems should be released in the North American region near the end of this year.
