According to “Crysis 3” producer Michael Read, it may be a possibility that Crytek will re-release the “Crysis” trilogy on the Xbox 720 and PS4. Speaking with VideoGamer, Read replied that this would be a “cool idea.”

Responding to the question if Crytek had discussed the idea of releasing the entire “Crysis” trilogy on the Xbox 720 and PS4, with the ability of providing completely maxed out visuals, Read said "This has been brought up a lot. I've had a bunch of other people ask. It would be a cool idea to see something like that.”

"I haven't heard anything about that internally but I have had a lot of people asking about that. I think if enough people are crying out and going, 'Hey, let's see something', then you know, that may just end up being awesome."

The latest installment to the “Crysis” franchise, “Crysis 3,” is currently scheduled to be released on Feb. 22 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. With the PC version of this title looking considerably better than its console counterparts, Crytek could use the Xbox 720 and PS4 to showcase the true version of “Crysis” to console gamers.
