The Examiner has learned that political progressives in the United States have targeted Texas as the next state they intend to turn from red to blue, using the infamous "Colorado Model." In spite of the skepticism of some media outlets, political operatives insist that such a plan is in place and that the same tactics will be utilized that turned Colorado from red to blue.
Two years ago the Examiner reported that the fact that Colorado was in the process of turning from a red state to a blue state was no accident, as this follow up report indicates. The process had been conceived and financed by some of the most notorious names of the political Left, which is more accurately described as "progressive" or "collectivist."
George Soros and like-minded extremist progressive billionaires and millionaires put up the money for collectivist operatives in the Democratic Party to lay the groundwork for a takeover of the state. What was once a solidly Republican state would be turned into a Democratic state that would be run by the most extremist collectivists in the state Democratic Party.
This they accomplished with great aplomb. Colorado elected a Democratic governor along with a Democrat-controlled legislature. Immediately the new puppet kings in their various local fiefdoms went to work to implement a program of action that flew in the face of everything for which Colorado had stood ever since it became a state -- fierce personal independence, individual liberty, self-sufficiency, and unfettered gun rights.
Gun rights in particular were placed in the bull's eye of the target, and the state legislature passed new laws that restricted gun and ammunition use, which immediately prompted several big name firearms manufacturers to leave the state for more gun friendly territory. Gun owners across the country vowed to boycott Colorado, refusing to travel to the state for hunting or any recreational activity. And several of the new Democratic legislators became the subjects of recall elections as the ire of the voters toward such extremists rose to a fever pitch.
In a previous Examiner report, it was noted that the progressive vision for Colorado would be replicated in other states, such as Florida. But Friday it was learned that the next place the collectivists will target is Texas.
For at least three decades Texas has been solidly Republican. The progressives plan to change that in short order, using the same tactics as those used in Colorado. Local state legislators and candidates will become the victims of character assassination and false charges. But before an adequate response can be mounted against the smears the slanderous, libelous lemmings of slithering progressivism will have moved on to other charges, making it impossible for victims to keep up or to adequately answer the charges or to clear their reputations before election day.
This very tactic was used state-wide in Colorado, and it was also used by the Obama campaign in various states during the 2012 presidential campaign during which Mitt Romney was accused of being a murderer. And that is no exaggeration. Even one of the left's newspapers of record, The Washington Post, reported it.
There was much for which to dislike Romney, for sure. But a murderer?
This process is all the more difficult to fight effectively due to the big money behind it. Soros has bottomless pockets. So do some of the other financiers of this dastardly and despicable ploy to ruin the lives and reputations of conservatives and libertarians.
But who are these nameless, shadowy faces of the wealthy political left?
Washington Free Beacon issued an investigative report that names the names. Here are but a few: Pat Stryker of Colorado, Al Yates of Colorado, Joe Zimuch of Colorado, Tim Gill, Rutt Bridges, Rob Stein, Kelly Craighead, the Kanter Brothers, Dick Gunther, Patricia Evert, Judith Avery, the Hormels, Christopher Findlater, and many more. The Free Beacon provides a full dossier on each of these and other Democrat financiers, which can be accessed by clicking on the names just below the photos.
The question is, will Texans buy it? In some ways they already have, at least at local levels. Several reports indicate that the Dallas-Ft. Worth area allegedly has become a haven of progressive corruption, graft, and mob-like tactics. Similar allegations have been made against Austin and Houston.
Democrats consider Texas to be the crown jewel of states. If Soros and his mongrels can pull off a progressive takeover of the state, then the game is over for the short term at the very least. Texas will throw its support behind progressive Democrats, rejecting every conservative on the ballot except for candidates in a few die hard pockets within the state that refuse to be hoodwinked by extremist progressive propagandists.
And it would be a major mistake to believe that these dark ominous forces will sound like extremists. The will use the language of conservatives and libertarians. They will make themselves appear to be innocuous. Many will be fooled. Thus, it is vital that citizens thoroughly vet any candidate for any office, even local mayors and candidates for city council seats.
The danger that lurks on the other side of this sordid scheme cannot be overstated. If Soros styled progressives take over Texas, then the U.S. presidency will go to Democrats for generations to come. No Republican, no conservative will win the White House if Texas, California, New York, Colorado, and Illinois form a progressive block. They are almost there.
