Popular camera recalled due to possible allergic reaction

Now here's a product recall that's nothing to sneeze at! A popular Cannon camera is being recalled because it could cause a possible allergic reaction. Yup, this is definitely not a recall you hear of everyday.

Here's the scoop:

The recall involves 14,000 "Cannon PowerShot SX50 HS Digital Cameras". The Consumer Product Safety Commission says:

A chemical used in the rubber part of the viewfinders on the camera can cause skin or eye irritation or an allergic reaction to the user.

The CPSC says Cannon received two reports of eye redness and pain, but the company is taking action. If you've got one of these cameras you should contact Cannon to receive a free repair. Here's a link to the recall notice which has all the details.
