Piers Morgan admits standing on graves of dead children to advance gun control

During his debate with Breitbart.com's Ben Shapiro, CNN propagandist Piers Morgan was shocked when Shapiro accused him of standing on the graves of dead children. But he changed his tune on Tuesday, when he issued a tweet effectively saying that is exactly what he's willing to do to advance gun control, Twitchy reported.

"I'm being accused of 'standing on the graves of dead Sandy Hook children' - if that's what it takes to get action, so be it," he tweeted.

Some agreed with Morgan, but Twitchy said that "most everyone else" was "disgusted."

"@piersmorgan so i guess @benshapiro was right about ur true agenda and shameless act of dancing on the graves of innocent children/agenda? (sic)" one person tweeted.

"More like standing on the graves for higher ratings," another tweeted, calling Morgan "the ultimate sleaze peddler."

"[Y]ou are not standing on the graves, you are happy those kids are dead," added "Rick," who called Morgan "sick."

"How dare @piersmorgan stand of the graves of American children to push his leftist agenda. How dare he," said "Jon Ludwig," echoing Morgan's response to Shapiro.

"You are not just standing on the graves of dead children. You are dancing. And molesting them for political points," said "Gail Rice."

"Your feet are muddy because the graves are fresh," added "Fast Eddie."

A number of Twitter users called Morgan a "disgrace," exploiting the murder of the Sandy Hook children for ratings.

This wouldn't be the first time Morgan used a tragedy to advance the ratings of a media outlet.

In 2004, he was fired as editor of the UK Daily Mirror after publishing photos allegedly showing British troops torturing Iraqi prisoners. The photos, however, were proven to be fake, but by that time, the damage had been done.

"The BBC's Nicholas Witchell said it appeared Piers Morgan remained unrepentant right to the end," the BBC reported at the time.

"According to one report Mr Morgan refused the demand to apologise, was sacked and immediately escorted from the building," Witchell said, according to the BBC.

"This qualifies the man to assail our Second Amendment, which is part of a document he probably barely comprehends?" Bryan Preston asked at PJMedia.

"I wonder, how did he explain this episode during his job interviews at CNN? Did they even bother to ask him about all this?" he added.
