Paul McCartney's “NEW” album isn't in the stores, but it's on a Beatles radio station near you. Both Fab4Radio.com and Beatles-A-Rama are playing it, spokesmen for the stations said in interviews Oct. 12.
“Fab4Radio is playing 'NEW' all weekend and through Tuesday to celebrate Paul McCartney's first CD in 6 years. We will be giving the 'NEW' CDs away later in the week,” Matt Burley of Fab4Radio.com commented.
“We played the entire album over the course of the three hours of Bob Todd's Show Friday afternoon 3-6,” said Pat Matthews of Beatles-a-Rama.com. “And it's now in heavy rotation for the time being. Like the past several studio albums (dating back to 'Chaos & Creation'), it seems like it's growing on me. Loved "NEW", the single, first time I heard it.”
PUB CRAWL: Pubs across UK will get the first exclusive play of Paul McCartney’s latest album on Sunday, the Morning Advertiser reported on Oct. 11. The album will be played in more than 208 pubs and the report said special Paul McCartney beer mats will be distributed for the event. Wonder what those will go for on eBay.
MORE FLASH SHOWS?: Rumor has it that last week's last-minute show in New York's Times Square won't be the only event like that.
