Paul McCartney announces six new shows on U.S. leg of 'Out There! tour

Six more shows were added to the U.S. roster of Paul McCartney's 2014 Out There! Tour, it was announced April 16 through McCartney's press representatives. The six shows, which make a total of 10 in the U.S. and 19 total on the tour, will take him to Texas for shows in Lubbock and Dallas, then Atlanta, Ga.; Jacksonville, Fla., Nashville and Salt Lake City.

Tickets for the new shows will go on sale a week from this Friday on April 25 at 10 a.m. local time, the announcement said. American Express card members will be able to purchase tickets before the general public from 10 a.m. April 21 (next Monday) through 10 p.m. April 24.

The new shows are June 14 at United Spirits Arena in Lubbock, Texas; June 16 at American Airlines Center in Dallas; June 21 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA.; June 22 at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.; June 25 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena and Aug. 7 at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.

These are in addition to the previously announced four U.S. shows in June 19 in New Orleans at Smoothie King Center; June 26 at Louisville's Yum! Center, July 5 at Albany N.Y.'s Times Union Center and July 7 at Pittsburgh's Consol EnergySolutions Center. All are sold out through the venue, though third-party sellers may still have tickets. The 2014 tour will most certainly include songs from his most recent album, “NEW.” Members of the music press received a new promotional single for one of the tracks, “Save Us,” to promote the first U.S. shows.

McCartney is starting the 2014 Out There! Tour outside the U.S. at Centenario Stadium in Montevideo Uruguay this Saturday. The first nine shows will hit Santiago, Chile; Lima, Peru; Quito, Ecuador; San Jose, Costa Rica and in Japan in Tokyo, Osaka and in Seoul, South Korea.

The 2013 edition of the Out There! tour began May 4 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil at Mineiräo Stadium. It featured over 30 shows in Brazil, the U.S., Poland, Austria, Italy and Canada before ending in Japan.
