Paul McCartney's 2014 edition of his Out There! Tour, which his website announced March 9 as beginning in Santiago, Chile, on April 21, will take in several shows in Costa Rica, Uruguay and Ecuador, as well as Chile, according to early published reports over the last few weeks in South America. And if the rumors are correct, the tour could also return to Japan, which McCartney played in 2013.

Of course, the question on everyone's mind is will there be shows in the U.S.? So far, the word, though it's not firm, is that the possibility of shows in the U.S. is out there, so to speak.

The announcement of the first Out There! shows had been anticipated for a couple of weeks since South American newspapers leaked reports of several dates reportedly booked for Costa Rica, Chile, Uruguay and Ecuador.

McCartney's website said more dates are expected to be announced “imminently.” Ticket information on the Santiago show has not yet been announced.
