Parent reports two UFOs slowly hovering near California high school

An Orange County, CA, parent who arrived at a local high school to pick up a child reported two unusual objects moving over Huntington Beach about 5:40 p.m. on January 12, 2013, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witnesses' son greeted the parent running and pointing to the sky.

"There were several kids looking over in the same direction," the witness stated. "He began shouting, now I see! There, there's a UFO."

The witness described what everyone was looking at.

"I saw the orange, globe-like object just off to the east of us under the cloud cover line, though there were no clouds. It was a clear night. We watched it slowly hover over a short distance and then it simply vanished into thin air."

Moments later, a second unusual object was seen.

"Then off to the south over the beach I saw a large, red cylindrical object appear lit in red. It was the oddest thing I have ever seen. It began to travel to the west in a swooping motion. When it went behind a tree, I lost vision of it."

No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on January 14, 2013. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Huntington Beach is a seaside community in Orange County, CA, population 189,992.

January 12, 2013, 5:40 p.m., Huntington Beach, Orange County, CA - 2 objects 1 pulsating orange globe to east another bright red cylindrical off to south over beach. Case 45196.

I arrived at the high school to pick my son up when he came running pointing to the sky. There were several kids looking over in the same direction.
