If you've got $18,000 just lying around, you could own a bit of hit-laden music history.

Specifically, Bobby G. Rice’s ("You Lay So Easy On My Mind") publishing company, RiceLand Music Publishing Co., BMI, is for sale. Some 197 songs are included in the company, and not just any songs but some hit songs.

Among the country greats who've recorded music from Rice Land Music Publishing are Ronnie Milsap ("My Heart," "Keep the Home Fires Burning"), Sylvia ("The Matador," "Nobody"), Diamond Rio ("Meet in the Middle") and Tim McGraw ("All I Want is A Life"), to name a sampling.

"Bobby G. Rice is truly a 'survivor' in our country music industry, and a tremendous asset in our community," Nashville-based Marty Martel, president of ROPE and Rice's publicist, told Examiner on April 18.

Additionally, shared Martel, who hosts a weekly country-music radio show, "Bobby G. has been compiling great songs in his publishing company, and the list is as impressive as any publishing company."

Other artists who have recorded songs from RiceLand Music include Earl Thomas Conley, Gov. Jimmy Davis, Razzy Baily, Vince Gill, Mickey Gilley and Steve Wariner, among a long and prestigious list.

A complete listing of songs is available for interested buyers, said Martel, who added that the company's songs are known worldwide and still being played on radio.

Please more information regarding interest in the publishing company, please contact Martel via email.
