On Wednesday, several dogs at the Barrow County Animal Control facility in Winder, Ga., will be destroyed.
Dogs, young and old, who did not choose to be discarded...who did not choose to be locked up...who most assuredly do not want to die.
Among those slated for death are six-month-old puppies...Joey, Matt and Andrew. The pups are shy, and not leash trained, but they are young and deserve to have the chance to enjoy their life.
Also on the list...one-year-old "Stella," a shepherd/Labrador mix who is friendly, and shy.
Two females, "Diamond," and "Gem," also have less than 24 hours left to live. The two-year-old dogs are clearly terrified, and in need of reassurance that things are going to be okay.
A shy, young, Labrador mix named "Smudge," is also shy, and uncertain...as he should be.
These are but a few of the dogs who are perhaps, living their last day - in a kennel run at the animal control.
Please take a moment to network on their behalf, before they are just another sad statistic.
