Foul play is not suspected and an autopsy will determine the cause of death.

Oderus Urungus was the stage name Brockie adopted when he formed the heavy metal band with his college friends at Virginia Commonwealth University in the 1980s. They were Grammy-nominated and had a worldwide following. Their signature was performing on stage in horrific and detailed costumes while destroying things and using copious amounts of fake blood.

While playing as Oderus Urungus earlier this year, Brockie admitted to being inebriated on stage during an interview while holding a bottle of alcohol in full costume.

Oderus Urungus was supposedly 43 billion years old and hailed from the planet Scumdogia. His father was a supercomputer and his mother was but a petri dish according to band lore. Urungus only appeared in costume when appearing on television.

2014 would have been the 30-year anniversary of Gwar, which is currently on hiatus.
