Having sailed with both lines, it comes as no surprise to this National Cruise Examiner that Prestige Holdings Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas was voted tops in cruising at Virtuoso’s Las Vegas award show on August 15, 2013. The popular, repeat-passenger-centric cruise lines offer just about the best in food and service in the business, especially food.
A press release received today from the parent company (Prestige Holdings) of RSSC and Oceania stated this was the third year the Fort Lauderdale-based company won the titles of Best Luxury Cruise Line. In 2011 Oceania won the Most Innovative Cruise Line category and took both the Best Premium and Contemporary Cruise title in 2012. Regent Seven Seas was crowned Best Luxury Cruise Line for three years in a row.
Chairman and CEO Matthew D. Upchurch, CTC, said, "Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises represent the best of the best. Their exceptional product offerings, along with the level of service our travel advisors receive, ensure that our members' clients are extraordinarily pleased with their cruising experience time and time again.”
"We are thrilled and honored to win these prestigious awards for the third year in a row," said Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Prestige Cruise Holdings. "The recognition is particularly special as it comes directly from the more than 7200 advisors who work with the 335 member agencies of the Virtuoso family who entrust us to deliver dream vacations to their clients every day."
