Obama czar Cass Sunstein says we're too dumb to make right choices

In a stunning insult to all American ciitizens, except for the tiny minority in the elite ruling class, Obama czar Cass Sunstein stated that we are too dumb to make 'right choices.'

Sunstein claims that there is too much Homer Simpson in the average citizen which prevents them from making right choices on things such as food, in addition to the fact that the 'Homer Simpson' in us makes us easily manipulated by the progressive elitists.

Said Sunstein:

"We think that, as my co-author, Thaler and I, that there's a little Homer Simpson in all of us. Sometimes we have self-control problems, sometimes we're impulsive and that in these circumstances, both private and public institutions, without coercing, can make our lives a lot better.

"Once we know that people are human and have some Homer Simpson in them, then there's a lot that can be done to manipulate them."

Two things can be readily observed in Sunstein's statement.

First, there is a mindset among progressive elitists that views average American citizens as hopeless buffoons, feebleminded dimwits who, when left to our own devices, will choose 'bad' things such as sugary desserts, high fat items, salty junk food, and evil cola drinks rather than dine on scrumptious rabbit food each meal.

Sunstein's goal is to limit the choices of us buffoons by removing/banning from the menu cola drinks, fatty fast food, and sugary treats. Oh, he will give us choices, alright...if you happen to like rabbit food. Our choices will be more like, 'celery or spinach?' This concept is known as 'Choice Architecture.'

Even Sunstein himself admits that he views his role as an Obama czar to be the 'master choice-maker.'

In short, Sunstein is all about rank manipulation of the public, just as progressives have done ever since the late 1800s and early 1900s. It was the progressive movement, after all, that gave us Prohibition. The social engineers of the progressive movement decided that the poor dumb electorate was unable to choose to drink alcohol responsibly, and thus, alcohol had to be banned entirely in order to prevent the feebleminded masses from drinking themselves into oblivion.

The American people, however, had other plans. They engaged in collective civil disobedience by refusing to abide by the ban. Alcohol, thus, went underground as citizens took their drinking under the radar screen in countless 'speak-easies' where the booze flowed.

Alcohol remained very easy to get under Prohibition through the underground trade. Entreprenuers who defied the law made a fortune off of giving the citizens what they wanted--the right to drink alcohol no matter what 'big nanny' government said.

Prohibition, of course, was an abject failure and was eventually repealed.

Never in history has there been such a misnomer as the term 'progressive' with regard to politics. The term implies progress. But the programs enacted by 'progressives' have always been about manipulating and controlling the citizenry, limiting their choices 'for their own good,' and engaging in social engineering according to the self-proclaimed elites of the 'ruling class.'

Americans are seeing this monster raise its ugly head once again under the Obama Administration and the Democrat controlled Congress. All across the country there are bans and proposed bans on everything from sugar to salt, soft drinks to candy, and fats to meat. If these geniuses of the progressive movement in the Leftwing Democrat government of Obama, Congress, and Leftist local governments had their way, we'd all be stuck with eating nothing but rabbit food and consuming absolutely nothing that makes eating and drinking a treat.

Progressive social engineers desire to force the peons of the public into accepting their prescriptions for society, whether we like it or not. If manipulation does not work, then punitive measures and bans must be implemented, such as with Prohibition. And this is precisely the danger with big goverment. What's even more dangerous is in the event the people refuse to abide by the dicates of these masterminds. Progressives have a sordid history with regard to dealing with dissidents. They round them up and place them in internment camps.

Yes, it has happened TWICE in America, during the early 1900s. In the next segment on this subject, we willl discuss the two major roundups of citizens who were placed in internment camps, both implemented by Progressive Presidents.
