O'Sheas Casino on the Vegas Strip to reopen Dec 27,2013

The once popular O'Sheas Casino is slated to stage a grand reopening today (Dec.27,2013) on the Las Vegas Strip according to the Las Vegas Sun News. This casual gaming and watering hole will reopen with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 9 A.M. this morning. The return of this casino will certainly appease former fans and patrons, and is further indication of the progress being made on the $550 million Linq Project on the Strip.

This small Irish-themed casino, owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment , was shuttered in April 2012 to accommodate renovations associated with the Linq Project. The new O'Sheas opens in space once occupied by the Imperial Palace casino (now The Quad). O'Sheas info is now available at The Quad website. The newly refurbished venue occupies 5,000 square feet and will offer 11 table games, 15 video poker machines, three bars, and will include areas for beer pong and foosball. The old casino was popular among both locals and tourists because of a laid-back-yet-rowdy atmosphere, low table minimums, and a generally loud, beer-guzzling, fun-loving environment.

Four other Linq attractions will also open today, including a Starbucks, the Purple Zebra Gentleman's Club, and the Chayo Mexican restaurant. Caesars also plans to debut the much anticipated and world's largest ferris/observation wheel (dubbed the High Roller) as a part of the new Linq attractions sometime in early 2014. Welcome back, O'Sheas!

Cheers...
