NPR's Ira Glass of 'This American Life' comes to Denver for live show Saturday night

Ira Glass has hosted "This American Life" on NPR for the last 15 years.  Now he's traveling the country and performing live.

Glass will be in Denver on Saturday, May 15th at the Paramount Theatre for one show only.  It's called "An Evening of Radio Stories and Other Stories," a blend of spoken word and performance that has played to sold out crowds all over the United States.

Glass tells behind-the-scenes stories about "This American Life."  He takes an in-depth look at the radio show, its origins, his influences and the elements that make a good story.  There will also be a question and answer session with Glass after the performance.

"This American Life" has been called a "public radio institution" by the Los Angeles Times.  It currently has more than 1.7 million listeners.  Each week audiences are treated to featured essays, memoirs, field recordings, short fiction, and found footage. It's almost always compelling and completely original.

Tickets are still available for between $29 and $60 online at TicketHorse, at the Paramount Theatre box office, or by calling 866-461-6556.
