“Man is not free unless government is limited,” Ronald Reagan reminded Americans during his farewell speech to the nation. Man fails not only to be free under the left’s ideology of big government, but man fails to have personal independence and cannot prosper as individuals or as a nation as our forefather’s intended.
Take, for instance, the left’s notion of big (aka intrusive) government. Under the Obama Administration, we have seen more clandestine growth than at any time in US history. Clandestine, secret growth of government because the left has orchestrated it in a way Americans don’t recognize they’ve been nooked and in a way that plays on an already prominent sense of entitlement, which was, by and large, born of a big government, liberal philosophy. As evidence of this, Obama has created more czars than most of his predecessors (38 czars), almost all of them controversial, and they not only answer to an administration already overflowing with positions that should be decommissioned, but positions and departments that trample the constitution and derogate the people’s right to self-governance at the state and local level.
States’ rights almost cease to exist against a big, over-indulgent federal government.
Who pays for all this? You do, of course.
How is it funded? Your hard-earned tax dollar.
It’s a two-fold tragedy that’s suffocated our country for far too long.
In other words, Americans are being forced to pay for the big government that limits their constitutional freedoms and limits their pocketbooks. The left’s big government – categorically against America’s founding principles and railed against by conservatives – is taking food from your mouths and the mouths of your children, and it’s keeping our country drowning in debt.
It seems obvious that American tax dollars should not be used to fund programs that trample the country's constitution and intrude on people’s given rights, creating more and more debt for the people, which strangles the economy and keeps America’s forced dependence on foreign powers growing.
This is the result of the left’s big government: the creation of debt, the strangulation of America, the perpetuation of a “Me” society that relies on federal intrusion to exist, pushing America further and further into the grips of a Socialist sytem, and forces the people into an already over-exuberant entitlement society (where you, as a tax payer, are working to pay for everyone else).
