Randy Pitchford, President of Gearbox Software, today confirmed that the next “Borderlands 2” DLC will be releasing by the end of this year. That leaves the add-on less than two months to hit that release window, meaning fans will likely see the release of the game’s next downloadable content next month. It isn’t clear whether this new coming DLC will be a part of the “Borderlands 2” season pass or not, but Pitchford stated that details on the DLC will come soon. Later this morning he went on to tweet that a new DLC will come before another character class for the game, confirming that the next “Borderlands 2” add-on will not be the game’s sixth playable class.
“Borderlands 2” is available on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Fans can also now download the game’s fifth playable character class, the Mechromancer, or pick up the title’s first campaign DLC.
