Amy Duggar from "19 Kids and Counting" fame will star in "A Duggar Leaves Home" on TLC

Fans of fun-loving Amy Duggar are thrilled to hear about her new TV show, the very first spin-off of “19 Kids and Counting,” which is set to premiere in June on TLC. As posted on Discovery’s Press Web on April 3, the new show will be titled “A Duggar Leaves Home.” According to TLC Group president, “Our viewers know what they want from TLC, and we know what to give them – the shows that make them feel something, and we’re evolving our brand to give them even more of what they love.” Well, millions of fans love the super-sized Duggar family from “19 Kids and Counting” and this new show will give them even more to love.

“A Duggar Leaves Home” will focus on Amy Duggar and her big move to Nashville to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. Longtime fans of “19 Kids and Counting” remember the episode that featured Amy’s singing debut in Branson. Her voice is amazing and her positive personality is contagious, so fans are rooting for Amy's commercial success as a singer.

TLC is not yet revealing many details, but David Adam Brynes, Amy’s friend and a talented performer in his own right, will appear on the show. The 25-year-old Arkansas native moved to Nashville when he was 19, was discovered by Rob Rappaport (former CEO of Better Angels Music Group), and released his debut full-length album, “Premiere Country.” He’s set to release a sophomore album soon and wants to prove to the masses that he’s in it for the long run. It sounds like David will help Amy navigate the sometimes cutthroat music business.

“19 Kids and Counting” premiered on April 1 and focused on the courtship of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. Amy did not make an appearance because of her new show, but look for her to be back and with a vengeance with the premiere of “A Duggar Leaves Home.”

So far, TLC is calling Amy’s new show a “special,” but chances are good that the network will pick it up as a spin-off series. The current season of “19 Kids and Counting” premiered on April 1 and runs for ten weeks. Look for Amy Duggar’s show to premiere after that, possibly stepping into the same time slot on Tuesdays.

In the meantime, the next new episode of “19 Kids and Counting” airs on Tuesday, April 8 and focuses on Jill Duggar’s new love. As posted by E!online on April 1, Jill (22) has followed Jessa’s lead and is now in a courtship with Derick Dillard (25). The lovebirds corresponded via text messages and Skype and finally met in person. “I was in love with someone I had never met in person, but we really knew each other well,” Jill told “People.”
