Monkees Peter Tork, Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz, who are all in attendance at the Monkees Convention 2014 which runs through March 16, haven't officially said they will be going back on tour yet, but one new show was announced March 14. The group will perform at 8 p.m. May 28 at the 1,369 seat Palace Theatre in Greensburg, PA. according to ticketfly.com. Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. ET March 20.

The new show follows the group's tour of the U.S. last year, including a show we reviewed at Napa, CA.'s Uptown Theatre.

In our recent interview with Micky Dolenz, he said a new tour was possible ("You never know," he told us) and that he prefers playing small venues at night.

“We've played all kinds of venues, you know. I don't personally pay much attention and that's sort of up to the agents of what they book. I personally like indoors at night rather than outdoors during the day, but outdoors for me is always a little more difficult because you don't get any sound back,” he said. “You don't get as much of an atmosphere, feedback from an audience because obviously you can't hear them as well. So that .. I would prefer to be indoors as night. You know, I don't mind one way or the other as long as the music sounds good and it's a good sound system. That to me is always the most important thing.”
