Several new soundtrack details have been revealed in regards to the upcoming multiplatform title, “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.” According to a report by Square Portal on Jan. 26, Masashi Hamauzu will be working on a theme for the main character, Lighting, in the story. He will also be responsible for composing one of the four worlds in Nova Chrysalia, with the others being Mitsuto Suzuki, Naoshi Mizuta and a possible fourth unannounced composer. Finally, the soundtrack will change along with the day-night cycle, which is a new feature for the series. “Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII” is the final game in the Lightning Saga storyline of the series that first began with “Final Fantasy XIII” and the subsequent release of “Final Fantasy XIII-2.” The sequel will be released by Square Enix for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in North America sometime later this fall.
