The Libertarian News Examiner that covers news and commentary on a national scale and its companion site Dallas Libertarian Examiner that concentrates on issues and activities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth region will be featured along with some two dozen other Libertarian Examiner writers in a new online publication, Libertarian Party News.
They'll be joined in the future by other libertarian contributors such as independent online journalists and freelance bloggers from around the country.
Owner/Editor Mark Wachtler will officially launch his new website on Thursday, March 14 with announcements and press releases.
Libertarian Party News is not officially associated with the Libertarian Party or the LP National Committee, rather it's "an independent news outlet dedicated to assisting the Libertarian Party, its candidates and supporters."
However, while Wachtler's mission statement declares, "This site's sole purpose is to assist the Libertarian Party, its members and its candidates in getting their message of liberty to the American people" he has made it clear to contributors, and now to readers, that there's more.
Libertarian Party News will be a unique One-Stop-Shopping Center for libertarians where readers can tap into the news and opinions of all participating Libertarian Examiner writers around the country and the works of other libertarians as they join up in the future.
Its focus, however, will remain on the LP. From the website readers will be able to keep up with the national party's latest issues and news releases while selecting the "States" tab is their gateway to all state level activities.
Clicking the state's name allows entry to that state's LP website; choosing "News" gives access to LP announcements and Examiner articles from that area; the "Candidates" link displays who's running for office in that part of the world.
Libertarian News Examiner articles and opinions will be featured on the site's main page along with other national Examiners contributions while Dallas Libertarian Examiner will appear on the "Texas – News" link on the "States" page.
And best of all, while There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch there is a FREE subscription which allows readers to "Receive 1 weekly email with links to the week's biggest stories."
Wachtler promises to add more functions and features as the website grows in popularity and influence.
