Bravado, Universal Music Group's global music merchandising company, announced in a press release Oct. 24 it has partnered with two companies to bring out new authorized lines of Beatles and Yellow Submarine household items starting this fall just in time for the Beatles' 50th anniversary celebration in America in 2014. The items will include drinking glasses, posters, bookmarks, calendars and decals.
The company said it has partnered with Boelter Brands to produce glassware, drinkware and tabletop accessories. Trends International has also secured rights for Beatles posters, calendars, journals, writing instruments, bookmarks, stickers and decals. A spokesman said details of the new items would be announced soon.
The Boelter Brands products will include hand painted, screened and sublimated glassware, ceramic mugs, coasters, bowls, and glassware accessories and be available in stores starting Jan. 1, 2014. Plans also call for them to be on display at major gift markets and industry shows later this year. Trends International has plans to release posters and bookmarks later this year, and gel pens, stylus pens, stickers and decals early next year. The company also plans to sell 2014 and 2015 calendars. All products will be distributed through national retailers, as well as independent specialty and gift stores.
