Today, there will be a ‘new Ann’ at Cherry Creek; a new and improved Ann Taylor that is. The brand is opening a new concept store at the mall.
In 2009, the iconic American brand started a new chapter in the fall when Lisa Axelson became the new head of design. Miss Axelson has an impressive background with extremely successful and well-known brands. Everything from Senior Director of Design at Banana Republic to Senior Director of Design at Gap to Senior Vice President of Design at Club Monaco/Polo Ralph Lauren.
According to a recent press release –
“The new Ann Taylor is chic and stylish with a more fashion forward direction to address the needs of today’s modern working women,” said Lisa Axelson, Head Designer and a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). “Our new concept stores are a reflection of our new fashion direction. They are light, modern, feminine, and designed to showcase the full. Ann Taylor Collection while making our client feel comfortable and welcome.”
With a new head of design in 2009, came a refurbished line; bold accessories, ‘perfect trench’, leopard print flats, pumps, purses, classic cocktail dresses, and elegant, fashionable office attire.
The location at Cherry Creek was designed in partnership with S. Russell Groves Architects. Below is a preview of what the new Ann Taylor will look like.
According to a recent press release -
“[The] new Ann Taylor boutiques are inspired by a stylish modern contemporary home and provide a more intimate shopping experience that is chic, warm and inviting. The residential influence is brought to life through white washed maple hardwood floors, luxurious crystal chandeliers, modern tufted furniture and sleek feminine fixtures inspired by the ultimate closet.”
The dressing rooms will not feel like cramped closets with poor lighting. They will be called styling rooms, there will be ottomans, and the mirrors will be back-lit. There will also be a private lounge with a huge touch screen allowing the shoppers to access AnnTaylor.com that will showcase not only shoes, petite and tall items but a Wedding and Events collection.
Want to see this new concept store? Mark your calendars for Saturday September 10th. From 1 – 5 pm there will be a shopping event for clients and the public. There will be a live DJ, refreshments, a raffle, and if you spend a $100 you will receive a gift. Also, five percent of the sales will be donated to The White House Project.
You do not have to wait until September 10th to check out their new styles, go to AnnTaylor.com and find your new fall favorite.
