Nelly Furtado releases official 'Waiting for the Night' music video (Photos)

On Jan. 8 Nelly Furtado released an official music video for her song "Waiting for the Night" on her VEVO channel. The black and white shot video was directed by The Seed Collective and it runs four minutes and thirty seconds long. You can watch Nelly Furtado's official "Waiting for the Night" music video below.

The video begins with Furtado standing in front of lit candles while singing "Waiting for the Night". When she turns her head it is shown that half her face is made up in make-up inspired by Dia de los Muertos. The rest of the music video features Furtado ballroom dancing with both a partner and a group of girls.

The song "Waiting for the Night" is the fourth single from Nelly Furtado's fifth studio album, "The Spirit Indestructible". The album was released on Sept. 14, 2012 via Mosley/Interscope Records and it debuted at No. 79 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. The previous single from the album was "Parking Lot" and you can watch the official music video for that song here.
