Majesco Entertainment released a free downloadable demo for NBA Baller Beats today on Xbox LIVE. NBA Baller Beats is a music game of all things, which gamers play by dribbling an actual basketball in real life. It is definitely an innovative title and uses the Kinect Motion Sensor.
The demo includes two music tracks “Catch ‘Em By Surprise” by Tiesto vs. Diplo ft. Busta Rhymes and “Bust a Move” by Young MC. There is also an in-depth tutorial given by two time NBA champion and Emmy Award-winning TNT NBA analyst Kenny Smith.
The full retail version of NBA Baller Beats features 30 songs from artists such as LMFAO, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Lady Gaga, Rise Against, Young MC and Skrillex (among others), up to 20 skill moves (like crossovers, behind-the-back, and between the legs), and a multiplayer mode offering head-to-head competition against up to eight players.
The game comes with an official NBA game ball replica from Spalding but can apparently be played with any ball that is roughly the same size as a basketball. It should come with a mat or something because who wants to dribble a heavy basketball on their nice hardwood floors?
NBA Baller Beats retails for $39.99. It can also be downloaded via Games on Demand for $29.99, though then you will obviously not get the included basketball.
