NAAP’s production of "Oliver!" will be under the direction of Steven Eng with choreography by Broadway legend Baayork Lee, the original Connie Wong in the original cast of “Chorus Line." This multi-talented cast includes Raul Aranas as Fagin, Anthea Neri as Nancy and Bonale Zohn Fambrini as Oliver.

"Oliver!" consists of a 65-member cast including 20 children, 25 professional actors and 20 members of the NAAP Broadway Community Chorus. This benefit production will be fully staged, complete with sets and costumes.

According to NAAP, they are delighted to be returning to The Pershing Square Signature Center located at 480 W. 42nd Street in NYC again this year to present this production of "Oliver." It will be performed in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre. The show will open on Thursday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. Additional performances are scheduled for Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, June 7 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

A way to further their mission NAAP has produced several theatrical projects over the past four years. They include "Oklahoma," Carousel," and "Hello Dolly!" As part of their Re-Discover Series they use all Asian casts. Their mission is to showcase the work of Asian-American theatre artists through performance, outreach and educational programming.

The Pershing Square Signature Center is the permanent home of Signature Theatre. It is a three-theatre facility on West 42nd Street designed by Frank Gehry Architects. It is used to host Signature’s three distinct playwrights' residencies and foster a cultural community. The Center is a major contribution to New York City's cultural landscape and provides a venue for cultural organizations that supports and encourages collaboration among artists throughout the space.

In addition to the Center's three theatres, it features a studio theatre, rehearsal studio, a bookstore, Signature Cafe and Bar, and is open to the public from noon-midnight Tuesdays - Sundays. For more information on renting the Center one can visit its website, and to obtain tickets go to www.ticketcentral.com. Richard Skipper, Richard Skipper Celebrates! is the media contact.

The National Asian Arists Project exists to be a leader in educating, cultivating and stimulating audiences and artists both current day and in the future. NAAP does this through showcasing exceptional work by talented artists of Asian descent. Art constantly evolves, and thus this Project strives to command a place with a uniquely compelling American voice.
