Stars of television and cinema joined together tonight for the Golden Globes, one of the biggest awards ceremonies of the year. Before the Hollywood Foreign Press handed out their awards at the Beverly Hilton, all eyes were on the red carpet. Celebrity arrivals are always an exciting part of awards ceremonies, and the Golden Globes brought some beautiful gowns our way.
Among red carpet color trends tonight were hues of red, classic black, pastels and flesh tones. This came as a surprise to some who thought it would be an evening filled with bright colored gowns. Cut-outs, sparkles and sheer fabrics were also seen throughout the evening.
Thigh-high slits were seen on several gowns at this year's awards ceremony. Halle Berry showed off her stems in a multi-color printed one shoulder Versace gown. Lea Michelle, Eva Longoria and Heidi Klum. Several stars also opted for gowns featuring plunging necklines. Katharine McPhee, Kate Hudson, Amy Poehler, Kristin Wiig, Eva Longoria, and Jennifer Lopez stunned in their sexy styles.
Floral gowns were also seen multiple times on the red carpet. Lucy Liu's strapless floral Carolina Herrera ball gown seemed to have everyone talking. Ariel Winter, Tina Fey, Sienna Miller and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
Chic long sleeved looks rounded out this year's red carpet arrivals. This popular style was seen on Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Watts, Kate Hudson, Helena Bonham Carter, Eva Longoria, Heidi Klum, Julianne Moore and Helen Mirren.
