As instructed in the nostalgic commercials I brought my "Love for everything" to Mount Airy Resort and Casino and was not disappointed by the "Host with the most in the Poconos". The casino resort is delightful from the moment one spies it driving up the private road. The golf course is a beautiful meadow of lush green one sees upon entering the property. We drove up to the lovely hotel entrance of pillared stones to be welcomed by an amazing courteous staff of valets ready to aid one's every need.

The valet took our luggage and we were welcomed by a delightfully warm reception when checking in. Armed with the room key, the valet escorted us up to our room.

Mount Airy Resort's rooms are well appointed and designed to welcome.

My beautiful room’s full wall of windows overlooked the picturesque lake. The bathroom’s wonderful design included a separate water closet with its own door for extra privacy, a granite vanity, lighted make-up mirror and a large stall shower with a rainfall showerhead and an extra adjustable hand held shower head. The bed perfectly comforted my road weary body. The personal Keurig coffee machine and Sony Dream Machine are wonderful room extras. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the hotel and guest accommodations that makes checking email a breeze.

A day enjoying the Mount Airy Resort Spa is a must do.

The beautiful 16,000 square foot spa at Mount Airy is ready to pamper, please and sedate one with an immense choice of services. Professionals perform an array of massage choices to body treatments, hair, nail and skin care along with special treatments, packages and promotions.

Bridget gave me a wonderful Swedish massage with my choice of a peppermint aroma. She rubbed the tension right out of my aching body; truly one of the best massages I have ever had. The treatment room is beautiful in its décor with a wall of backlit soft sheer drapery and a stunning large round recessed glass fixture in hues of blues and purples that when lit reminds one of a sunset and when turned off appears like a serene night sky as one looks upward laying down on the plush heated treatment table.

The "Get Wet" pool is all about having fun and relaxing.

I love the excitement of the pool area, inside and out is beautiful and welcoming. Sitting outside on a comfy sofa enjoying the sun rays (don’t forget the sunscreen) I ordered a delicious Caesar salad with chicken for lunch. The music playing is lively with modern tunes mixed in with some classic rock and roll fun. During Mount Airy's “Get Wet Sundays” party from 1pm until 6pm I enjoyed some indoor poolside time laying back in my private enclosed daybed with a glass of wine.

The indoor/ outdoor pool area is 52,000 square-feet ready to entertain one's every poolside want of soaking, swimming, drinking and eating The "Get Wet" 11,000 square-foot pool is open all four seasons and has a special passage to welcome guests to have fun swimming from indoors to the outdoors all year round.

Gypsies Nightclub and bar provided a night of exciting fun.

The nightclub hosts headline musical and comedy acts of big name star entertainers performing year round at the resort. Easily check the entertainment schedule to see when your favorite entertainer will be performing.

I shared in the fun night entertainment merriment watching the guys performing with “Thunder Down Under “on Saturday Night at the intimate Gypsies Nightclub.”Girls just want to have fun" and we did! After the show the entertainment excitement continued with a splash of fun partying at “Get Wet“ pool with a DJ setting the mood to dance into the night.

The Buffet experience is like no other, with a gourmet tastes worthy fine dining culinary delights.

As one without a huge appetite, I usually stay clear of buffet style dining but when I learned that live entertainment was to be served along with Sunday brunch I just had to check it out. The music began just as the brunch started at 11 am.

Right away I was blown away by the talented Clarence Alonzo Oliver who is a true sensation worthy of celebrity status hidden away at Mount Airy’s destination resort. After meeting and speaking with him one learns of his pedigree playing with such greats as Buddy Rich, Whitney Houston and Billy Joel to name just a very small example of Clarence’s resume. Mount Airy is very lucky, as are the folks enjoying his song stylings, to have Clarence and his keyboard partner gracing all with music magic. We could not help but to get up and share an impromptu slow dance as Clarence sang a song of romance.

The brunch delights were like no other buffet restaurant that I have visited. Executive Chef Nicholas Di Tondo, who also caters Mount Airy Resort’s events, pool and golf course, knows how to plan a successive menu. The brunch is filled with scrumptious choices that are fresh and delicious, as well as some healthier menu items to please people who are want to experience the buffet with a bit less guilt.

I chose a made to order egg white omelet with spinach and tomatoes. I then added to my plate some lox, cold fresh salmon, a bit of bean salad and a potato pancake that I could not resist. Everything was perfectly prepared. In the center of the seating area was a made to order pasta bar along with fresh shrimp and cocktail sauce. The salad choices and the Asian fare looked delicious.

The luncheon choices were in abundance. Everything was freshly prepared and not overcooked as one finds in many other buffets. An extra long table of Danish, muffins, donuts, yogurt parfaits, bagels, cream cheese and other tasty breakfast fare made my mouth water. On the healthy side was a made to order smoothie bar.

Most enticing was the chocolate fondue tower next to a tree of cut fresh fruit as well as many other choices to dip into the flowing chocolate sweetness. I chose strawberries to drench in the fondue; definitely worth the treat of extra calories. The pies and cakes galore looked tempting and proved to be delicious as I gave in to have a taste of the banana nut cake. The food was a spot on accompaniment to the wonderful entertainment. A last dance was the perfect way to celebrate the end to Mount Airy’s amazing Sunday brunch happening.

Even those who are not golfers can enjoy the golf course.

Looking at the beautiful greens I could not help but want to check out the Clubhouse. Directly across the lake from the hotel entrance we headed over on a fun golf cart ride. We passed by the beautiful gazebo surrounded by a garden of flowers ready to host a wedding ceremony. The clubhouse is a lovely petite country club clubhouse complete with a pro shop, living room lounge area, restaurant and bar. Drinks were enjoyed at the bar with wonderful conversation with the very sweet Anthony tending the bar.

Perhaps on my next visit I may be tempted to take a lesson from a Mount Airy pro to check out the award winning golf course.

As a desired destination vacation spot, winning the coveted AAA Four Diamond Rating every year since 2010, Mount Airy Resort definitely shines above the rest for romance and entertainment fun. In keeping the Mount Airy tradition alive the amazing resort is beyond worthy of still holding the title for being the finest for a romantic honeymoon, as I can personally attest to. Mount Airy is still "Your host with the most in the Poconos" where "All you have to bring is your love of everything". Mount Airy provides the perfect place to relax, have fun, eat, swim and play in a single destination. As we drove away a young deer at the curb bid us a sweet farewell. I cannot wait to return for my next visit and more exploration.
