Motivation to Move in the Morning

Nothing like a morning walk to put some pep in your step

The thought of sweat-inducing exercise can be a very daunting but it is essential to healthy living and if ignored, could lead to numerous complications. The best approach to take when it comes to exercise is to get it done first thing in the morning before the day and all of its tasks cause you to become too busy or tired. The perks of accomplishing exercise prior to the days start go far beyond simply getting it out of the way, in fact, exercising in the morning directly corresponds to:

  • Boosting Mood: Getting up early may be the hardest part of the day, even harder than resisting the cake in the break room at the office. While exercising in the morning may have you rising a little earlier, after you complete your work out, you will feel ten times better. Exercise activates various brain chemicals, leaving you happier and more relaxed. You may even find yourself feeling more confident with your appearance, and a high self-esteem can lead to being more productive at work too. Also, exercise helps decrease your stress levels as well, so no task will look too large. Oh and that cake, you won’t want it because, honestly, who wants to out eat their exercise?
  • Elevating Energy Levels: You may be a slave to your coffee maker or the coffee shop down the street from work, but if you integrate exercise into your morning routine, you may be able to cut back on a few cups of Joe. Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. When your body works more efficiently, you have more energy. The only downside to incorporating fitness into your routine is that the barista at the nearest coffee shop might miss you.
