MLG Anaheim is usually one of Major League Gaming's biggest events of the season and this year they are expecting record numbers. Serving as the MLG Pro Circuit Spring Championship event, MLG Anaheim will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center between June 28th and June 30th. It will feature over $100,000 in total prize money in competitions for League of Legends, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, and Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

MLG Anaheim will be an important event as the competitions for all three games will also serve as feeder tournaments with qualifying teams earning a spot in larger tournaments that have even more prize money to win down the road. Here is the prize run down from the official press release:

League of Legends: $30,000 in prizes; first place gets $20,000

The Spring Championship will include the conclusion of the League of Legends North American Online Qualifier. The final four teams advancing from a 64-team online qualifier will compete for a chance at $30,000 in prizes and the first place winner receives $20,000 and a spot in the LCS Season 4 Spring Promotion Tournament. Additionally, the event will feature the North American League Championship Series (LCS), with all eight teams from the North American LCS playing three action-packed matches.

The online streams for League of Legends will be casted by David “Phreak” Turley, Rivington "RivingtonThe3rd" Bisland III, Joshua "Jatt" Leesman, and Sam "Kobe24" Hartman-Kenzler.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II on Xbox 360: $50,000 in prizes; first place gets $20,000

The highly acclaimed franchise returns to the Pro Circuit at the Spring Championship. 128 teams will compete in an Open Bracket to secure placement in the Championship Bracket. The top 12 teams from the Open Bracket will advance to the Championship Bracket where they will join the top eight teams from the Winter Championship and four teams that qualified online during MLG’s Championship Bracket Qualifiers to compete for $50,000 in prizes. Nearly all Championship Bracket matches will be broadcast live via one stream.

The online streams for Black Ops II will be casted by Chris Puckett, Mike "Hastro" Rufail, Ryan "Fwiz" Wyatt, Benjamin "Benson" Bowe, and Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez.

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm: $25,000 in prizes; first place gets $10,000

The Spring Championship will feature a World Championship Series (WCS) Tier 1, 128-Player StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm double-elimination, open bracket tournament with $25,000 in prizes and a first place prize of $10,000. As a WCS Tier 1 tournament, the top 16 finishers will receive player ranking points in the WCS. The points earned at MLG Spring Championship will impact the year-long chase for seeds at the WCS Global Finals at BlizzCon.

The online streams for StarCraft II will be casted by Marcus "DJ Wheat" Graham, Sean "Day9" Plott, John "Total Biscuit" Bain, Alex "Axeltoss" Rodriguez, and Nick "Axslav" Ranish.

Spectator passes are on sale now at for $35 each (they will be $50 at the door). VIP passes can also be purchased in limited quantities for $250 each. That might seem a little expensive but VIP passes do come with a few extra perks such as an MLG hoodie, an open reception with the players, early access and reserved seating, and a chance to win one of ten iBUYPOWER gaming PCs being raffled off.

The event will be livestreamed online for free in 720p HD as well. Alternatively, paid MLG subscribers can get up to 1080p HD video and will have no commercials. The broadcast starts at 5:00 p.m. PT on June 28th.
