A “miracle baby” survived an 11-story fall from the balcony of an apartment in Minneapolis. The 15-month-old baby boy is in critical condition at an area hospital according to doctors.

Little Musa Dayib, 15 months-old fell from the balcony of an apartment building after slipping through the slits in the balcony railing. The toddler landed on a patch of mulch and was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center which has a pediatric level-one trauma center.

Hospital spokeswoman, Christine Hill reported that the little boy suffered from a concussion and fractures to his arms, ribs and spine. He also has a punctured lung. Treating physician, Dr. Tina Slusher reported that Hayib avoided any major head injury. Slusher went on to say that she had never seen a child survive a fall from those heights.

Speaking to WCCO, Slusher said, “That’s a gift from God to the family, because he shouldn’t of [sic] made it.”
